Many plants produce seeds that you can save one year and sow the next. This allows you to grow varieties of plants that are individually suited to the conditions of your garden, and in turn enable you will grow stronger, healthier, and more productive plants.
In this workshop you will learn how to select, clean, dry and store the best seeds from the plants you grow. You will make seed packets and seed tape, for easy direct planting, and inexpensive seed raising mix, so seedlings will have a nutritious boost. We will also learn how to germinate seeds to get the best results.
In this workshop we will be using recycled materials from around the house to make propagating trays, mini greenhouses, and paper pots. So, bring along some materials you can use like, plastic bottles, punnets, toilet rolls and plastic trays to share with the group.
